Cannabis Company Buys Entire Calif. Town Hoping to Turn it into a Pot Mecca

This seems sort of silly, but then aren't there similar destinations around wine  enthusiasts' interests?

American Green, an Arizona-based company focused on the cannabis market, has purchased the small town of Nipton, Calif., for about $5 million, and will renovate the 120-acre area to cater to marijuana enthusiasts across the U.S.

The cannabis-themed brand is prepared to pour millions more into the town to improve infrastructure and to build a hotel, school, CBD-infused mineral baths, a general store, and solar farms to fuel their “green initiative.” American Green released a statement detailing the direction they wish to take the new Nipton: 

Ultimately, the company would like to offer a variety of commercial and recreational attractions including: CBD and mineral baths, cannabis-product retail outposts, artists-in-residence programs, culinary events, and Bed-and-Breakfast lodging to complete the charming small town experience.

Their first major cannabis-themed project involves infusing the local water supplywith cannabidiol, or CBD, the chemical found in marijuana that is connected to reducing inflammation and pain, and bottling it for sale throughout California. Oh, and before you ask, CBD doesn’t get you high — that’s tetrahydrocannabinol, aka THC.

The fourth category is for those FGM/C victims who are mutilated beyond even the above classifications.

On a related note, Marvel is pulling the plug on its project of turning its superhero comics into social justice lectures after sales tanked.

One story saw Iron Man as a black teenage girl. Captain America is also a black woman in the Spider Gwen series. In the version in which Cap is still a white male, Marvel made him a Nazi (though they quickly back-peddled). Thor is now a woman as well. Miss Marvel is Muslim. A partially-robotic Donald Trump was made the villain in Spider Gwen Annual #1.

The Daily Wire spoke with comic writer and artist Bosch Fawstin to get his opinion on Marvel's return to sanity:

"They're hitting the wall that they built in the marketplace. It's shameful; they've completely inverted the entire purpose of these comics. They're made for entertainment; they're made to tell stories of good versus evil."

Bret Easton Ellis -- Why Not?

Ellis, who once used Trump to highlight his “American Psycho” protagonist’s oily manner, isn’t a rock-ribbed conservative. He didn’t vote for Trump, nor does he apologize for the president’s baser instincts. The author still refuses to accept progressive dogma at face value. It’s a recurring theme on his popular podcast.

Last year, Ellis excoriated political correctness during a particularly blazing podcast episode. That was just a taste of what he delivered this week. Ellis took on liberals who simply cannot process the fact that Hillary Clinton isn’t living in the White House. His withering comments hit some rather sacred cows, especially Oscar winner Meryl Streep...

The nomadic Nenets and Khanty peoples have been herding reindeer up and down the Yamal tundra - a 700-km-long peninsula that stretches deep into the Arctic Ocean - for 1,000 years, with diets heavily based on venison and fish.

But that appears to be changing fast, as researchers note the increasing uptake of chemically processed foods, such as instant noodles and pasta, and the addition of sugar, pastry, and bread to their diets.
